My Search History
Well, it really tells a tale, that’s for sure. I’m not quite sure it’s a tale I’d want told, as it doesn’t paint me in a particularly flattering light. According to my Google search history, I’m basically a serial killer with a specific interest in drowning, poisoning and burying people alive. I’m also pretty keen to establish how long before certain poisons will have a noticeable effect, whether bodies will initially sink if in a large body of water, and what condition clothing would be in if a body was still clad in them when placed in a lake and weighted down.
Needless to say, I’m a romantasy author and I’d be screwed if I was ever arrested.
It is spurring me on to get The Bone Fairy into proper shape though, as I feel like being able to wield a paperback in my defence might help a little. At its core, it might be a fantasy romance but it’s also deeply rooted in death, betrayal, power and corruption. Sprinkle in a serious bit of spice, some magical torture, a huge inter-realm cover up and the spark of rebellion and I may just be able to defend myself.
I have been wondering though what the dodgiest thing I’ve ever looked up has been. Possibly how to break someone’s neck with your bare hands from behind (That was another book which hasn’t made it into completion yet. Give me time), or what death by melted molten gold would look like. What can I say, I just can’t write happy. Unless ‘happy’ features copious amounts of creative murder and tortured love, then of course, I’m all in…
